Global Moments, Local Impact: MUG Chapters This Fall

This fall, Mitel User Group (MUG) members continued to build community and share knowledge through local chapter gatherings across Europe. These customer-focused events provided valuable opportunities  for connection, collaboration, and meaningful conversations about the latest innovations within the Mitel ecosystem.

MUG Netherlands: Rotterdam Gathering
In September, the MUG Netherlands regional group hosted its fall meetup in Rotterdam, bringing together approximately 16 members for an afternoon of learning and networking. Attendees shared insights on current Mitel updates, exchanged best practices, and strengthened relationships within the Dutch user community.

The energy in the room reflected the group’s ongoing commitment to member collaboration and collective growth.

MUG Italy: Rosignano Monferrato Meetup
As Autumn progressed, the MUG Italy chapter welcomed 18 participants, including several new members, at their gathering in Rosignano Monferrato, Alessandria. The atmosphere was warm and engaging, with attendees expressing strong appreciation for the depth and clarity of the content presented.

The session walked participants through a series of timely updates from Mitel Italia, an overview of the Mitel User Group and its member benefits, and a discussion on the evolving landscape of Hybrid UC and how organizations can best prepare for future communication needs. Attendees also heard from partner Gruppo ET, who offered insights into enhancing the partner experience, followed by an open conversation where customers shared feedback, challenges, and their expectations for the coming year. These discussions set the stage for continued dialogue around portfolio evolution, community priorities, and what lies ahead for 2026 and beyond.

A highlight of the event included updates from former MUG Board President Bob Baddeley, whose insights were extremely well-received.

Italian partner GruppoET also generously sponsored a special gift for attendees:

What’s Ahead
These chapter events demonstrate the power of MUG’s global community—where members connect, learn, and support one another no matter the location. Roberto Hanique, a MUG member and telecom networking administrator at Parnassia Groep in the Netherlands emphasized this invaluable benefit in a recent interview he did with Shelly Kramer of the K&Co Tech Podcast: “When we talk to other customers at the user group, we hear practical examples and use cases of communication challenges that we face.”

More local meetups are planned for the year ahead, including our upcoming Omaha, Nebraska event taking place this April, for which registration is now open.
