We would like to have some of our staff maybe 6-9 use their Smart phones as extensions when onsite and offsite through an app for inbound and outgoing calls, so forwarding isn’t the ideal solution.

We have 15 ip phones onsite configured (number reduced due to covid restructure)
and 4 pstn phones.
We are running the Mitel server in a HyperV and we have a couple of Shoretel switches mainly for the pstn devices
What would we need to add in licenses and do with this setup to acheive this?
We have a Sonicwall Router firewall on our network which we could use for VPN access as an alternative to EdgeGateway. Pros and Cons?
